Construction cost estimators require correct information about every particular to generate a precise estimate. Estimates vary as per the size and type of the construction along with the quantity and quality of the materials used. Any construction, irrespective of its type requires wooden as well as no-wooden materials. Hence detailed information about the number or quantity of the item along with its cost per unit is essential.


An estimation of the labor cost must also be prepared. Acquiring the total misc. unit cost and total project cost helps in generating an organized and focused construction cost estimate and prevents extra and unnecessary expenses.


While preparing an estimate of wooden items the estimator should include the total cost of wooden items comprising plain wooden side bottoms for windows and doors, plain wooden pillars, etc. Total cost for non- wood material must include bags of cement, bamboo, steel roof, rod for ground foundation, window and door hardware, etc. Labor cost must comprise expenses for concrete engineers with labor cost and wooden engineers cost. Miscellaneous unit costs must include expenses for toilet & bathroom, water tank, water pump with motor, etc.
