E2B: What do you think UK SMEs would be most excited by in terms of what Autodesk is doing with sustainability?

BT: First and foremost, we're making sustainable design easier with our products. We have a really concerted effort around sustainability solutions at Autodesk for architects and engineers working in building design, urban planning and civil engineering for city-scale type work. Our software can help businesses understand the impacts of their designs before they are built and optimise performance at the beginning of the design phase.

One thing that we've realised is that 90 per cent of environmental impacts are determined in the design phase, so there's a tremendous amount of power the designer has and through our simulation and analysis tools we're really making it easier for them.
