Senior Construction Project Manager in Abu Dhabi, UAE
The Senior Construction Project Manager plans, organizes, directs, oversees, controls and evaluates all of the activities and stages of the construction project of the TALEX manufacturing facilities. Under the direction of the General Manager, the Construction Project Manager also links, coordinates, manages and appraises all of the construction contractors and consultants that are involved in the project.
As a member of the Senior Management, the Construction Project Manager contributes significantly to the overall management and leadership activities of the Company including but not limited to the periodic meetings including weekly Management Meetings as well as the constant and systematic reporting to the General Manager, Steering Committee and Board of Directors.
The Construction Manager at TALEX performs the following duties:
Plan, organize, direct, oversee, control and evaluate all of the activities and stages of the construction project according to schedule, specifications and budget.
Link, coordinate, harmonize, manage, lead and appraise all of the different construction contractors and consultants that are involved in the project be it directly or indirectly.
Plan, prepare and establish all related construction schedules and milestones as well as monitor progress against established schedules and report on a regular basis.
Prepare agreements and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
Take full responsibility as well as interpret and explain all construction plans and contract terms to management and staff in order to insure transparency and sustained progress.
Qualifications:
A university degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited European or US university.
A minimum of 15 years of direct experience in construction as well as project management.
Work experience in the region and knowledge of local legal requirements are preferred.
Professional certifications and memberships are preferred.
Highly articulate in written and spoken English.
