Project Estimator - Brigham City, UT

Description: Nucor Building Systems Utah LLC, a leader in the Pre-Engineered Metal Building Industry and a division of the nation's largest steel and steel products manufacturer and largest recycler is seeking to hire a Project Estimator at its Brigham City, UT location.

To assist the Nucor Sales Team and our Builders by accurately and efficiently estimating building system prices based on our quote proposal documents, company policies and standards. Estimator basic functions include but are not limited to:

1. Provide coordination on daily quote activities by reviewing and recommending economical solutions to various sales requests.

2. Manage the schedule demands as set forth by the customers, sales team, and other members of the estimating department to ensure all deadlines are met.

3. Supply accurate, concise, and well qualified proposals while utilizing an effective application of the custom developed estimating software.

4. Assisting in the checking of other team member's work to ensure accuracy of all estimates.

5. Fielding phone calls from District Sales Managers and Builders regarding project scope, qualifications and estimates.

6. Generating accurate take-offs for building materials that are not manufactured by NBS.

Requirements

1. High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma

2. A minimum (3) years of experience in steel construction and/or non-residential construction industry.

Work experience must include:

1. Reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings.

2. Generating accurate material take-offs utilizing architectural and structural drawings.
