How to work out numbers of bricks for a house or a wall

To calculate brick quantities, the following points should be taken into consideration :-
Width of the wall to be constructed
Amount of openings (doors, windows)
Amount of detail in the wall ie: Decorative panels, Ventilation or Dogtooth String Courses.

A single skin wall needs 60 bricks per square metre. There should be preservation for 10% wastage, because of transportation or just shifting the bricks around your project.
To work out the total number of bricks for the wall, the following formula is used :-
Wall height (metres) x wall length (metres) x 60 = number of bricks + 10% wastage
As for instance, If it is required to erect 2 metres height wall with 10 metres wall length, the calculation is done as follow :-
=2mx10mx60 =1200 bricks+10% wastage
=1320 bricks
Bricks for Double Skin Wall ? brick calculator
If it is required to erect wall with Double Skin method, 120 bricks per square metre will be needed for the wall.
Wall height (metres) x wall length (metres) x 120 = number of bricks + 10% wastage
As for instance, if it is required to construct 2 metres height wall with 10 metres wall length, the calculation will be as follow :-
=2mx10mx120 = 2400 bricks+10% wastage
=2640 bricks
