How to measure the height with specified angle and distance

This construction video tutorial shows the guidelines to determine the height of an object on the basis of the specified angle and distance.

In this video, a triangle is drawn with the angle of 450 and base 10 meter. To find out the height, the following formula is used :-

Tan? = P/B = Perpendicular/Base

Tan 450 = P/10

Or, 1 = P/10 or, P = 10 meter (as the value of tan450 = 1)

Therefore, the height of the object will be 10 meters.

To find out the Hypotenuse of the object, the following formula should be applied :-

Sin? = P/H = Sin450 = 10/H (as value of sin450 = 0.707)

Or, 0.707 = 10/H
Or, H = 10/0.707 = 14.14 m
