The National Diploma in Quantity Surveying is owned by the Building and Construction Industry Training Organisation (BCITO) and will provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary for the role of a consultant or contractor quantity surveyor.
Postgraduate option
As a pathway to gain further skills, students who have completed this national diploma, can enrol in 71353 Project Management as a postgraduate course to gain project management skills and knowledge to support this qualification.

Admission requirements
To be considered for enrolment in this qualification you must have at least one of the following:
35 or more credits towards NCEA Level 2 in four subjects including maths and English,
NZQA Unit Standards equivalent to the above,
New Zealand Sixth Form Certificate in at least 3 subjects preferably including maths and English,
National Certificate in Carpentry,
Qualifications equivalent to the above.
If you do not have any of the above, but have relevant skills and/or work experience, you may still be able to enrol in this qualification.
